Trinamool Congress National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, launched a scathing attack on the Modi government at the center during a meeting on the 10th day of Janjwar Yatra at Gangarampur in South Dinajpur.
He pointed out that while the Mamata Banerjee-led government was providing free food grains to women and implementing the Lakshmi Bhandar Yojana, which provides a grant of 500 rupees, the Modi government was charging 1000 rupees in the name of Aadhaar PAN link.
Earlier the day, Abhishek Banerjee took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his 100th 'Mann ki Baat' episode. Banerjee criticized the PM for being more focused on his radio program while the people of Bengal are struggling to receive their 100-day work money.
In his statement, Banerjee highlighted the issue of people being deprived of basic necessities like food and livelihood, while the Prime Minister is busy with his show. He accused the PM of being out of touch with the ground reality and failing to address the pressing concerns of the people.
